The Maha Kumbh 2025 has carved its name in history as the first event worldwide to surpass 50 crores (500 million) direct participants. The event has witnessed an extraordinary turnout during its holy bathing days. It is estimated that over 40 crore devotees have already participated in the Maha Kumbh 2025 and have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

To facilitate the smooth movement of devotees, Northern Railways recently announced a special Vande Bharat Express, especially for this Mahakumbh. The special Vande Bharat Express will connect the national capital New Delhi to the holy city of Varanasi with a convenient stop at Prayagraj. This train will run on February 15, 16 and 17 to accommodate the massive influx of devotees during the weekend.
The train number 02252 will start its journey from New Delhi at 5:30 a.m. and will reach Prayagraj at 12:00 p.m. It will then continue its journey and reach Varanasi at 2:20 p.m. The train will start its return journey from Varanasi at 3:15 p.m. with train number 02251, and it will reach Prayagraj at 5:20 p.m. before arriving at its final destination, New Delhi, at 11:50 p.m. on the same day.
