Last week, a trial run of the 13th Vande Bharat Express was conducted successfully between Chennai and Coimbatore. Tomorrow, PM Modi will finally inaugurate the much-awaited Chennai – Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express along with Chennai Airport New Integrated Terminal (Phase 1) and Madurai Elevated Corridor.
This train will leave Coimbatore Junction at 6 am and cover a distance of 497 km to Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Railway Station (Chennai) in less than 6 hours. On its return journey, the train starts from Chennai at 2.25 and reaches Coimbatore at 8.15 pm. The booking of the train has already been started on the IRCTC portal. The commercial launch of this train will begin on 9th April.
