On 8th April 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s 12th Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad Junction. This train will connect the twin cities of Secunderabad – Hyderabad with the abode of Lord Sri Venkateshwara, Tirupati. It is the second Vande Bharat Express to depart from Secunderabad.
This train will cover a distance of 661 km from Secunderabad Junction to Tirupati in just 8 hrs 30 mins. It will reduce the travel time by approx 3 hours. This train will be operational on all 6 days, except Tuesday. The fare for the complete route starts at just ₹1,680.
Secunderabad – Tirupati Vande Bharat Express will boost the religious tourism in both cities and provide a direct rail connectivity to Tirupati Balaji temple. This train runs through 10 districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and it will stop at Nalgonda, Guntur Junction, Ongole and Nellore during its journey.

Secunderabad to Tirupati Vande Bharat Express Fare
- AC Chair Car: ₹1,680 (For the entire journey)
- Executive Chair Car: ₹3,080 (For the entire journey)
The fare for AC chair car (CC) ranges from ₹470 to ₹3,080, while the fare for executive chair car (EC) ranges from Rs 900 to ₹3,080. Catering charges are already included in the fare, however, passengers can opt out and book tickets at a slightly lesser cost.
Unlike the previously launched Vande Bharat Express, this train consists of just 8 coaches which includes 1 executive chair car (EC) and 7 AC chair car (CC) with a seating capacity of 530 passengers. Apart from the launch of this train, PM Narendra Modi has also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station.
