It has been almost 50 days since the last Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated by PM Modi in Mumbai on February 10th. Since then, people have been speculating and looking forward to the launch of the next Vande Bharat Express. However, the mystery finally comes to an end.
The next Vande Bharat Express is finally set to launch between Delhi and Bhopal on April 1st. It would be India’s 11th Vande Bharat Express and the 4th to depart from Delhi. The train will run from New Delhi railway station to Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal and cover a distance of 709 km in just 7 hours and 50 minutes. It will save around 1 hour of travel time compared to the Shatabdi Express operating on the same route.

According to Indian Railways, the upcoming Delhi – Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will be a 16-coach train set. It will cruise at a maximum speed of 160 kmph over the Palwal – Agra section, 130 kmph between Agra – Lalitpur section and 120 kmph between the Lalitpur – Bina section. Of 16 coaches, 2 are allotted to AC Executive Chair Cars and 14 to AC Chair Cars.
Like other Vande Bharat Express, this train will also operate six days a week, unlike the Shatabdi Express, which operates 365 days a year. The commercial run of the train will begin on April 2nd, and the fares are likely to be higher by about 10 to 15% compared to Shatabdi Express operating on the same route.
